What You Need to Know
Health Certificate Requirements
Exam Required Before Travel
A health certificate requires a physical exam within
10 days prior to your pet’s departure date.
Interstate Health Certificate
$120
For travel within the United States and Mexico.
International Health Certificate
$220
For travel outside of the United States, including Hawaii.
Possible Additional Endorsement Fee
Some destinations may require additional endorsement. If endorsement is
required, the following additional fees may apply:

Shipping Label & Signature Requirements
For certificates that require mailing or USDA endorsement, we recommend using
FedEx for the shipping label. Nordahl Pet Clinic is not affiliated with FedEx,
but many pet owners use FedEx for reliable tracking and delivery.
Please confirm before your appointment whether your destination requires a shipping label. Shipping labels are only required for countries that do not accept a digital endorsement from USDA.

Check APHIS Requirements
Travel requirements vary by destination. Some locations may require
additional vaccines, testing, treatments, forms, or USDA endorsement.
Confirm With Your Airline
Each airline may have its own pet travel policies, carrier requirements,
documentation rules, breed restrictions, temperature restrictions, and
check-in deadlines.

depending on the destination and method of travel.
