A Message From the Doctor

Personal, Practical Care for Every Pet

We’re a small, family-like team that values a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Owners are encouraged to speak up and be part of the plan. We emphasize clear communication, including a text message option for questions and follow-ups, so you always feel supported between visits.

People come to us because we combine technical excellence with real-world practicality: advanced care when it’s needed, and sensible, customized plans when it’s not. We treat every patient and owner like family and take pride in being approachable, dependable, and deeply invested in your pet’s well-being.

Drop by anytime. Whether it’s a routine check, a dental cleaning, or a more complicated surgery, we’ll walk through the options together and find the best path for your pet.

Medical Director | Chief Veterinarian

Read Bio

I have been the Medical Director and Chief Veterinarian at
Nordahl Pet Clinic since 2014. I earned my veterinary license
in 2008 and have cared for countless dogs, cats, and the people
who love them through emergency medicine, general practice,
and surgery.

I now partner with a mobile surgeon who specializes in advanced
procedures, allowing the clinic to handle complex cases while
keeping care personal and local.

I do not believe in one-size-fits-all medicine. Instead of
forcing owners into rigid corporate protocols, I focus on
practical, tailored solutions that fit each family’s life,
budget, and home environment. Treatment plans are made together
with clear explanations, honest options, and decisions clients
can feel comfortable with.

My clinical strengths include surgical skill, advanced surgical
techniques, laser surgery, affordable dental care, emergency
medicine, general medicine, and collaborative diagnostics.
Nordahl Pet Clinic works closely with radiologists, ultrasound
imaging specialists, and internal medicine consultants to get
precise answers and tailor treatment plans.

My name is Jeanine Jacobs, and I began working at Nordahl Pet
Clinic in September 2014 when Dr. Choi first took over the
practice. I have been working in the veterinary field for over
20 years.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor
in Chemistry in 2004 from CSU Sacramento, and I completed an RN
nursing certification from United States University in Chula
Vista, California, in January 2012. My true love and passion is
animals, so I have continued to do what I love most through my
job as Assistant Manager, Veterinary Tech, and Assistant at
Nordahl Pet Clinic.

I assist mainly with surgery, anesthesia and patient monitoring,
dental cleaning procedures, laboratory diagnostics, and client
relations.

When I am not at my “home away from home” at Nordahl Pet Clinic,
I am a busy mom to an energetic eight-year-old boy named Jack,
who also follows in my footsteps with his love for all critters,
both warm- and cold-blooded. I also enjoy oil painting, karaoke,
and spending time with my boyfriend, friends, and family.

My goal as a long-time staff member of Nordahl Pet Clinic is to
use my years of veterinary skills and experience to help make
your fur babies as happy and healthy as possible.

Hi, I’m Jacqueline. Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and working as a veterinary receptionist has only deepened that passion.

The dogs I grew up with taught me how loving, silly, and comforting animals can be, and that is why I chose a career where I get to support them every day. I’m always learning new ways to
help keep pets healthy and happy.

I have three dogs of my own, and I’ve spent the last two years dog-sitting, which has given me a special appreciation for each pet’s unique personality. Meeting new fur babies is the highlight of my day, and I love being part of the first friendly face they see when they come in.

Hi! My name is Shirley. Working with animals always fascinated me when I was younger, and I’m a big fan of horses. I do not have my own fur babies at home, but I have fostered a kitten before.

I’ve been working here at Nordahl Pet Clinic for two years now to earn and enhance my skills and knowledge. While I’m still young, I can’t wait to learn everything I can, and I am always happy to help any pet owners in need or those who have questions.
